My First Ever CUBING TOURNAMENT!

Hey guys it's me here again!

Today is the I participated in my school's inter-class cubing tournament and I managed to grab the gold medal by finishing first!

Well the tournament isn't like other tournaments - It consists only three rounds, the preliminaries, the semi finals and finals. Everyone who participated in the preliminaries only got one try. The fastest 10 who can solve the scramble will get into the semi finals.

I got into the semi finals, ranking 7th with the time of 37 (lol fail) and was able to finish first in the semi final round. I solved the (easy) scramble in 16.37 second (new best) and got into finals.

I was so nervous before everything started. Luckily my classmate who got into the finals as well was next to me and we wished each other luck, calming both of us down.

I solved the cube with my trembling hands in 30.7 seconds (lol fail again) and my classmate finished his solve in 31.3 second. We came in first and second respectively.

I was so stoked that I actually managed to be honored as the champion for the Junior 1 - 3 group in my first ever (sort of) cubing tournament. I jumped around in excitement for like 30 seconds after I got the results.

Guess what? I was invited by the RW Genting again as an Blogger Ambassador! I'll be leaving in Sunday morning for something that is really really exciting!

I'll be a judge at the WSSA Inter-School Sport Stacking Competition and I'll be participating as a Open Division competitor on Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry for no pho

Are Speed Stacks better? Cups Review #2!

It's been a long time since I was here.. And now I'm back!

So today I'm going to make a comparison between two sets from two different manufacturer - HY Snaptop Reds from Speed Stacks and Magic Flying Cups Red from He Shu Toys Factory.

So lets start. First of the, the size and texture of the two sets are completely different. The HY Snaptop Reds from Speed Stacks are taller but not as wide as the MFC Reds from He Shu Toys Factory. The surface texture from both cups are similiar but the cutting edges of the HY Red Snaptops are way better than the MFC Reds.

Now to the stacking part. Both of the upstacksand downstacks of the HY Snaptops Reds are better than the MFC Reds. I would definately recommend the HY Snaptop Reds for begginers due to its consistency because it is medium-weighed. The only good part of the MFC Reds are its quiet downstacks but its upstacks are terrible and they sometimes even stick together - you won't one a sticky set if you are looking for high speed sets.

Overall, the HY Snaptops Reds are a set of consistent cups and are way better than the MFC Reds. Plus, you can only use Speed Stacks cups in official tounament, so I highly recommend using official Speed Stacks cup for praticing at home or trainings at school.

Thanks for stopping by and reading this cup review! Hope everyone had a good day and I'll be back with more exciting stuffs! Stay tuned!

Smile! :D
