STEAMBOAT 6000FT ABOVE GROUND!

Looking for a nice place to have steamboat dining?

Well, the new Resort Seafood restaurant at Resorts World Genting is the perfect spot for everyone!

Steamboat dining at it's best.

I went to the Resort Seafood before leaving Genting Highlands at my last trip and I still can't get the feels off my mind - just imagine having fresh food out of the simmering pot while the temperature outside of the roof is just hitting 20 degree Celsius, with your family members and other bloggers as well. You won't believe just how heart-warming a simple steamboat dine with your family can be.

There were around 25 sauces for us to choose from, and my dad made his own unique sauce! He mixed up 3 different sauces, including the sesame sauce and the oyster sauce. I liked how the mixture tasted so much!

SAUCES!

The restaurant offers lots of unique stocks, such as the Tom Yam and Herbal Chicken Soup flavors in a "Yin Yang" style black pot, the resort fish head stock and the kampong chicken soup. It offers set steamboat menus, from RM108 nett to RM638 nett (two to eight persons, member/non member prices vary) and a la carte dining which is priced by item as well.
The unique Yin Yang pot!

The Resort Seafood Restaurant is one of the best steamboat restaurants I've ever been to, and obviously the highest above ground as well. Steamboat is all about exploring your inner cook and letting relationships grow.
Look how fresh these prawns are!

Just look at all the fresh food!

Resort Seafood (Level 1, Resort Hotel) operates daily for lunch (1200hrs to 1430hrs) and dinner (1800hrs to 2200hrs). The restaurant seats 256 persons.

SUPERSTARS OF MAGIC 4!

RESORTS WORLD GENTING – SUPERSTARS OF MAGIC 4!

Ever thought of how amazing it will be if magicians from all around the globe get together and perform in a single magic show?

Well, there is a magic show that’s promised to give all the audiences a bigger and better magic show like no others – the Superstars of Magic 4! It is currently being held at the Genting International Showroom.

I got the chance to watch the show as well. And guess what? I was so stunned by the awesome magic tricks performed by the magicians; I even forgot to think about how the magic works!
Seven world-class illusionists took turn to perform on stage. The show also highlighted how magic and modern technology evolved together.

Here are some information about the seven illusionists:

First, there’s Alana Moelmann from Germany. She is often crowned as the new generation princess of magic. She wowed the crowd by producing HUMAN HANDS from her leather jacket, and endlessly producing various items from her six hands!

Next off, there is Shawn Farquhar from Canada. He appeared on a lot of popular talk shows, including the famous Ellen Show (it’s one of my favorite talk shows). He also tricked Penn and Teller on their hit TV Series with his awesome magic tricks. He won the FISM Close Up Championships of Magic in 2012 as well.

Ted Kim from Korea. He wowed the audiences with his creativity – he infused modern screen mapping technology and LED projector technology into his magic act! He connected with the audiences by incorporating a lot of latest video games and music into his act such as the Super Mario Brothers. That is why Ted is a winner among the younger generation!

One Gun, also from Korea, is also crowned as one of the HOTTEST magicians in Korea. We were warned to beware of his charm and to focus on his awesome magic acts instead of his good looking face. As he walked out from the curtains, I was actually focusing on his face and went into a “fangirl” mode. But as he started performing his magic act, I was actually more into his tricks. He can transform his WHITE shirt into COLOURFUL SHIRTS!

The two illusionists from America are Joseph Gabriel and Jay Mattioli. Joseph is regarded as the Godfather of Dove Magic and is often called the Birdman. His act is said to be way ahead of all of the classical dove acts that we are all familiar with.

Jay Mattioli – a celebrity magician in his own right. He wowed the Americans with his sense of comedy and charm, making his way into one of the finalists and the America’s Got Talent and got into the Top 10 of AGT. He made all of us laugh with his hilarious sense as well!

Last but not least, there is Jeff Lee from Taiwan. He is an award-winning celebrity magician. He can perform his act by interacting magically with a TV and modern music! He can take CDs out of his TV!

The Superstars of Magic 4 is the Asia’s largest magic variety show and is themed as “Magic of East Meets West”, is into its fourth year running. It will be held at the Genting International Showroom from 10th July to 25th October, with two shows on every Saturdays (4pm and 8pm), a show on Sunday (4pm), and a show on weekdays (Monday to Friday, 8pm).

Tickets to see the amazing acts of ALL SEVEN of the world-class illusionists are available now, at the prices of RM248 (VIP), RM148 (PS1), and RM98 (PS2) for adults while ticket prices for children are priced at RM98 (VIP), RM68 (PS1) AND RM48 (PS2).

I met all 7 of these illusionists! All of them are so nice! photo cr: www.rwgenting.com

A little update!

Hiyaaa, I’m back again!

Today, I’m writing a review about… THE GENTING ONE DAY TRIP!
Yes, like I mentioned on my last blog post, I got another chance to visit Genting!

I had a blast participating in some awesome events, including the Behind The Scenes Tour where I got the chance to see how the biggest resort in Malaysia works behind the “scene” and the SUPERSTARS OF MAGIC 4!

So early in the morning, me, my dad, my mom and my brother got up early and had our breakfast before heading to the Wisma Genting to meet everyone else. We woke up at 6 and started to prepare some necessary stuffs – including my camera and my phone for photo capturing and live updates on my social media.

We arrived at around 1230hrs and we went BEHIND THE SCENES – we went to the biggest laundry in Malaysia! All the machines were so big. It was my first time seeing such many machines and men working together just to get one resort clean. I then understood why so much machines are needed – We are in the biggest resort in Malaysia! Haha!

We then got the chance to make our own donuts and bentos! I made a donut and a bento for myself. After finishing the donut, I realized that I wasn’t capable of finishing all the food so I decided to save my bento for later.

Later, we went to the Superstars of Magic 4! It was an incredible magic show and I was stunned by every single magic trick performed by the 7 magicians.

We went to have our dinner at the Resort Seafood (食为鲜) restaurant. We were served with a lot of seafood, and all of them are the fresh-iest I’ve ever seen in my life!

Later we went back home by taking the bus with other bloggers. It was an extraordinary trip and I would once again like to thank the Resorts World Genting for giving me another chance to become one of the RWG Bloggers and for giving me another chance to write a review about awesome stuffs that happens in Genting Highlands.

Detailed reviews with photos shall be posted within a week, stay tuned!

Smile! :)

My First Ever CUBING TOURNAMENT!

Hey guys it's me here again!

Today is the I participated in my school's inter-class cubing tournament and I managed to grab the gold medal by finishing first!

Well the tournament isn't like other tournaments - It consists only three rounds, the preliminaries, the semi finals and finals. Everyone who participated in the preliminaries only got one try. The fastest 10 who can solve the scramble will get into the semi finals.

I got into the semi finals, ranking 7th with the time of 37 (lol fail) and was able to finish first in the semi final round. I solved the (easy) scramble in 16.37 second (new best) and got into finals.

I was so nervous before everything started. Luckily my classmate who got into the finals as well was next to me and we wished each other luck, calming both of us down.

I solved the cube with my trembling hands in 30.7 seconds (lol fail again) and my classmate finished his solve in 31.3 second. We came in first and second respectively.

I was so stoked that I actually managed to be honored as the champion for the Junior 1 - 3 group in my first ever (sort of) cubing tournament. I jumped around in excitement for like 30 seconds after I got the results.

Guess what? I was invited by the RW Genting again as an Blogger Ambassador! I'll be leaving in Sunday morning for something that is really really exciting!

I'll be a judge at the WSSA Inter-School Sport Stacking Competition and I'll be participating as a Open Division competitor on Saturday.

Thanks for stopping by today! Sorry for no pho

Are Speed Stacks better? Cups Review #2!

It's been a long time since I was here.. And now I'm back!

So today I'm going to make a comparison between two sets from two different manufacturer - HY Snaptop Reds from Speed Stacks and Magic Flying Cups Red from He Shu Toys Factory.

So lets start. First of the, the size and texture of the two sets are completely different. The HY Snaptop Reds from Speed Stacks are taller but not as wide as the MFC Reds from He Shu Toys Factory. The surface texture from both cups are similiar but the cutting edges of the HY Red Snaptops are way better than the MFC Reds.

Now to the stacking part. Both of the upstacksand downstacks of the HY Snaptops Reds are better than the MFC Reds. I would definately recommend the HY Snaptop Reds for begginers due to its consistency because it is medium-weighed. The only good part of the MFC Reds are its quiet downstacks but its upstacks are terrible and they sometimes even stick together - you won't one a sticky set if you are looking for high speed sets.

Overall, the HY Snaptops Reds are a set of consistent cups and are way better than the MFC Reds. Plus, you can only use Speed Stacks cups in official tounament, so I highly recommend using official Speed Stacks cup for praticing at home or trainings at school.

Thanks for stopping by and reading this cup review! Hope everyone had a good day and I'll be back with more exciting stuffs! Stay tuned!

Smile! :D

Sort of a Throwback.. :p

Heyyya I'm back!
I'm backkkkkkkkkkkk! Alrightyyy so I just realized that I forgot to tell you guys how I did in the interclass table tennis competition!
I got into the semi-final rounds for every single event I participated - 15U F Singles, 15U F Doubles, Open F Singles, Open F Doubles and Open Mixed Doubles.
Every single match was tough and everyone was enjoying the games and matches so much.
Eventually, I was able to grab the gold medal and defend my title for the 15U F Singles and was able to grab the bronze medal for the 15U F Doubles. What's more fortunate is that I was also able to grab 2 more silver medals and another bronze medal for the other events.
So that's basically it for the table tennis tournament! I'll be writing what happened today in my next blog post so stay tuned!
Smile! :)

How Busy is High School?

Alright I'm here again!
So yeap. I have been busy handling a lot of school stuffs for like the last ten days, like seriously, a LOT. A lot of stuffs happened lately, and a lot of stuffs are going to happen in a really really short time.
For instance, our school will be celebrating Teachers' day on Friday, which is in four days. We have to prepare presents for our teachers and get ready to participate in the games that'll be held on the day, with our teacher.
Furthermore, we have to wear or 'Class Tees' throughout the event and our tees aren't even ready, which means we have to get everything done and give everyone their shirts before Friday.
On 5th of July, our school will be holding a charity sale fair, where every class will get the chance to participate and will have to run their own stalls. I'm planning to make a special mix of two drinks to sell it in the event. I'm planning of mixing grape juice and lemon juice. I'm hoping to deliver a tasty and 'good-looking' drink.
Our class will also be participating in the volleyball competition - again! It is going to be held on Wednesday and I'm going to participate in it!
Hope I will be able to enjoy hard working with my classmates and hope we will be able to make laughter with opinions and thoughts!
Don't forget to smileeee!
